DAY 01. June 08, 2018

Arrival and transfer to Rishikesh.

Overnight stay at your hotel (Rishikesh).

BEATLES ASHRAM OR Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram.

DAY 02. June 09, 2018

Visit Laksham Jhula, a long and mighty bridge over the Ganges, which was built in 1939. You will visit various temples in the city along with the famous Beetles ashram or The original, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram. It was abandoned in 1997 and is now back under the control of the forest department. However, the shells of many buildings, meditation cells and lecture halls can still be seen, including Maharishi’s own house and the guesthouse where the Beatles stayed and apparently wrote much of the White Album.

The once-striking art installation called The Beatles Cathedral Gallery has become a graffiti free-for-all, but it's still worth seeing.

It is to be turned into a museum soon. Later in the evening enjoy the Arati ceremony on the banks of the Ganges.

This cave is located 25 kms far from Rishikesh & it is believed that Vashistha Rishi meditated here. This cave is most beautiful place of meditation.

Sage Vashistha had possession of the divine cow Nandini. Nandini was daughter of Kamdhenu. Nandini has power to produce food instantly for lots of people. Arundhuti was wife of sage Vashistha. Mitra Varuna & Urvasi was parents of Vashistha. Vashistha was one of the authors of ancient Indian scripture Rigveda. Vashistha was also Guru of Lord Ram. Vashistha was Guru (Teacher) of Lord Ram & he was also Rajpurohit (Chief priest) of Ikshwaku family (Surya Vansh).

Legends say that Vashistha came here at River Ganga for suicide after death of his children. River Ganga refused his suicide. Arundhati (Wife of Vashistha) decided to stay here because she liked the atmosphere. Sage Vashistha meditated here. Later it was maintained by small family for many years. During 1930 Swami Purshottamanand came here & maintained this place. Currently Swami Chaitanyanand Ji (disciple of Swami Purshottamanand) is head of the ashram.
